	DeLuca Liquor & Wine was founded by John DeLuca in the 1930s after Prohibition was repealed. A man by the name of Robert Keyser later purchased the company and remained at the helm until 1977 when the Wirtz Beverage Group expanded its liquor, wine and beer holdings into the State of Nevada by acquiring DeLuca Liquor & Wine, Inc. In 1980, the Wirtz Beverage Group purchased Coors of Las Vegas and today it has three other sales companies operating in the state of Nevada – Silver State Liquor & Wine, Nevada Wine Agents and Micro Cru Fine Wines. Each of the companies maintains its own status, yet works in partnership with each other regarding state legislative issues and supplier bases. In total, the Wirtz Beverage Group has 500 employees in Nevada and all companies are proud to serve the urban areas of the Las Vegas Strip to the rural enclaves of the state. DeLuca’s operations in Nevada are an excellent example of the commitment it has made to the beverage-alcohol industry, and the development of over 500,000 square feet of warehouse and office facilities throughout the state is a sign that the entire Wirtz Beverage Group is here to stay.
