The Wirtz Beverage Group is a division of Chicago-based Wirtz Corporation, having diversified interests in banking, real estate, insurance, sports and wine, beer and spirits distribution throughout the United States. Founded by Arthur Wirtz in 1926, his son William took the helm in 1983 and led the company to increased prosperity.  Today, the privately-held Wirtz Corporation remains family-owned with Arthur's grandson, W. Rockwell Wirtz, leading the company as President.

Wirtz Beverage Group’s core mission is to meet the needs of customers, partners and employees alike by promoting innovation, collaboration, integrity and trust. 

One of the largest beverage wholesalers in the country, Wirtz Beverage Group has interests in five states. Operating companies include Judge & Dolph Ltd., one of Illinois’ largest wine and spirits distributors; Monarch Beverage Company, DeLuca Liquor and Wine and Silver State Liquor & Wine in Nevada; Mark VII Distributors and Griggs, Cooper & Co. in Minnesota; Hawkeye Wine & Spirits in Iowa and Edison Liquors in Wisconsin. In 1998, the company established an affiliation with Callison Wholesale Liquor Company in Belleville, Illinois.
